Who We Recruit For

At Harpur we specialise in recruiting accounting personnel at all levels in permanent, temporary and contract roles across a wide range of market niches. Some examples of the sectors and positions we recruit for are as follows:

  • Media and Publishing - Media Payables, Media Receivables, Work in Progress Accountants, Qualified and Part Qualified Media Accountants, Divisional Accountants and all other clerical support staff.
  • Professional and Legal Services - Legal Cashiers, Legal Billers, WIP Billers, Legal Researchers, Credit Controllers and all other Accounts Managers, Qualified, Part Qualified Accountants, Graduate entry Accountants and all other clerical support staff.
  • Property, Oil and Gas, Telecommunications and Retail - Oil / Joint Venture Accountants, Property Development and Property Management Accountants, Telecoms Analysts, Retail Accountants, Qualified, Part Qualified, Cashiers and all other clerical support.
  • Non Profit Sectors - Income and Expenditure Accountants, Budget Managers and all other Qualified and non Qualified support staff.
  • For all of the above we recruit from standard Accounts Assistants, Payroll, Treasury and Credit Control specialists to fully Qualified Accountants including Systems Accountants, Internal Auditors and Regulatory Accountants. We also help clients recruit for unusual positions outside the normal brief e.g. PA / Secretarial support to Finance Directors / Managers, Database Administrators, Analysts, Graduates and roles that combine accounts with other operational functions.

Client Services

  • Specialist / One Stop Shop - We provide a 'One Stop Shop' as specialists in the Accountancy field with complete technical understanding of the area. We recruit the entire range of accounts staff from junior support levels to Directorate levels for permanent, temporary and contractual roles.
  • Full Assignment Management - We like to think we are an extension of your company that is in place to minimise your time spent on recruitment and to manage the full process for you. We aim to meet all parties involved in the recruitment process which gives us a thorough understanding of your requirements both technical and personal. We then manage every aspect of the recruitment from the initial brief to placement and monitoring until completion of the probationary period.
  • Interview Shortlist - We consistently provide shortlists and fill positions within 3 to 4 interviews. This is due to our to our exacting procedures that ensure the correct technical and personality fit for each position registered.
  • Advice - We are happy to provide advice for our clients on accounts structures, salary levels and recruitment processes from drafting of offer letters to interview techniques; clients are also welcome to interview at our premises. We are REC members and as such we are fully up to date with critical recruitment legislation.
  • Tailored Clients Service, Free Advertising and Psychometric Testing - We can provide a fully tailored client service. This can extend to free bespoke advertising or psychometric testing. We are the flexible face of recruitment and due to our Consultative approach and size, can adapt readily to our clients needs. This enables us to fill positions that may be outside the normal brief.
  • Screening and Detailed CV's - We have a rigourous vetting procedure which includes telephone interview, face to face interview with at least one consultant, specific interviewing for a clients role with the respective Managing Consultant, thorough referencing, identity and eligibility to work screening. There is a strong emphasis on candidates objectives and career goals. Our understanding of our candidates is so thorough that it allows us to provide some of the most comprehensive and detailed CV information available in the industry.
